How to set up custom lot / batch number based on month

Sometimes clients requested customized lot/batch number based on month. 

Example format is YYMXXX where YY is year code, M is month code, and XXX is a sequence number.

Therefore each month will have following formats,

1. Jan 22: 22A001..22A999
2. Feb 22: 22B001..22B999
3. Mar 22: 22C001..22C999
4. Apr 22: 22D001..22D999
5. and so on...

Here are steps,

1. Choose the search icon, enter No. Series, and then choose the related link.
   
   
2. Click on New action.
   
   
3. Key in Code and Description as you want. Then click on underscore(_) on Starting No.
   
   
   
4. New window pops up and enter the first date of each month under Starting Date. Fill in Starting No. and Ending No. respectively. Then click on Close.
   
   
5. Select Default Nos. to make it ready to use. Now you can assign this no series for your lot/batch numbers which will be assigned automatically based on posting date.
